Unique fashion exhibition at Liljevalchs
At Liljevalchs art gallery in Stockholm, this autumn means fashion. From September 15 to February 7, this Djurgården venue is hosting an exhibition called “Utopian Bodies – Fashion Looks Forward". This ambitious show imagines the apparel of the future by uniting 11 different themes including sustainability, technology, solidarity, and resistance. Seventeen Swedish designers have created items for the exhibition, among them Ann-Sofie Back, Diana Orving, and Bea Szenfeld.
There will also be pieces made by world-leading fashion icons such as Elsa Schiaparelli, Dries Van Noten, Walter van Bierendonck, and Issey Miyake. “Utopian Bodies” takes on aspects of what a tech-driven approach to sustainable fashion may mean.
And since kids are the future, they’re invited too!
